Does Callum Reid feel indifferent about being a professional rugby player (fair enough if so) or what’s the situation with him? He seems to be highly rated but clearly isn’t playing a whole lot of rugby.Silverstu wrote:Slightly different news but Callum Reid played a half for Banbridge 2s last weekend. Hopefully this might be him getting back into rugby, he looks fit enough too.

Just back from injury and he’s all about the rugby.DWFinn wrote:Does Callum Reid feel indifferent about being a professional rugby player (fair enough if so) or what’s the situation with him? Thats good to hear King- I don't know the lad myself, just whatever I have read about him was that he was a top tier talent LHP. I was concerned that he wasn't interested in becoming a professional rugby player since he didn't join the academy and hadn't seem to play much since school. Hopefully he can push on and fulfil his potential- you'd hope he could be fast tracked like Tom O'Toole which would give us two sets of young props EoS and Kane, Reid and ToT.kingofthehill wrote:Just back from injury and he’s all about the rugby.DWFinn wrote:Does Callum Reid feel indifferent about being a professional rugby player (fair enough if so) or what’s the situation with him? Re: Any word on the Academy?
Reid played around 40mins today and scrummaged very well against Kane. Some excellent carries and defended superbly.
Don’t be surprised to see him involved against Italy u20.

Could be a nickname for several Ulster players in fairness...Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Strange name, but it seems anything goes these days.Dave wrote:Speaking of his brother...injured?

Too many concussions in short period of time so stood down for longer period, probably won’t see him until next season.Dave wrote:Speaking of his brother...injured?

Because whoever decides the scrum half intake of the academy wouldn't know a decent one if they bit them on the Brennan.kingofthehill wrote:Graham Curtis hauled off at half time, can someone explain to me why he’s in the academy?

Seems a sensible precaution. I fear Lowry could be going the same way.kingofthehill wrote:Too many concussions in short period of time so stood down for longer period, probably won’t see him until next season.Dave wrote:Speaking of his brother...injured?
