I thought Adair had gone to Jersey.
Must be back again.

They scored their try following a “rubber kick” according to the official site.

The Ulster A team has been named for Friday’s Celtic Cup Round 3 tie against Connacht Eagles at Ballymena RFC (kick-off 4.00pm). Supporters can gain free admission to the fixture.

The only change in the pack sees Zack McCall return to the front row, as he replaces Abbey Insurance Academy hooker Tom Stewart. There are two new faces in the backline in the form of Luke Pollock (left wing) and Ben Power (inside centre). The inclusion of Power results in Hayden Hyde shifting to outside centre and Ross Adair moving to the right wing.

(15-9): Conor Rankin; Ross Adair, Hayden Hyde, Ben Power, Luke Pollock; Bruce Houston, Nathan Doak;
(1-8): Callum Reid, Zack McCall, Peter Cooper, Matthew Dalton, Jack Regan, Joe Dunleavy, David McCann (C), Azur Allison.
Replacements: Claytan Milligan, Paul Mullen, Jonny Blair, JJ McKee, Matthew Agnew, Aaron Hall, Lewis Finlay, Michael Stronge.

Scarlets 32 Ulster A 35 – Saturday 24th August, 2.30pm, Llandovery RFC
Ulster A 32 Cardiff 5 – Saturday 31st August, 7.30pm, Malone RFC
Ulster A v Connacht – Friday 6th September, 4.00pm, Ballymena RFC
Leinster v Ulster A – Saturday 14th September, 3.00pm, Donnybrook
Dragons v Ulster A – Saturday 21st September, 2.30pm, venue TBC
Ulster A v Ospreys – Friday 27th September, 5.00pm, Malone RFC
Ulster A v Munster – Friday 4th October, 5.00pm, Shaw’s Bridge
Celtic Cup Final – Saturday 12th October

Allison was supposed to be the pick of the bunch last week, with mentions in dispatches for Doak, Hyde, McCann and Reid (for his carries).

Doak , will be a major player for Ulster/Ireland in years to come, Adair was in jersey, got injured came home played for Hinch and now getting A games , expect that to be it to be honest

We shall see, from what I've seen of Doak I thought Stewart looked a better prospect at the same age.

Interesting that Ethan McIlroy is on the bench for the senior side tomorrow rather than lining out for the A's

Cooper seems to be always scoring, why isn't he making a step up?

He's a unit too.

I've never got why Cooper hasn't gotten even a sniff of the senior side, three years in the academy all the while tearing things up for Malone. Now he's seemingly without a contract having graduated from the academy.

He is of the slow controlled variety. Defended well today but has zero threat going fwd. His replacement is the exact opposite. Interesting that Ulster like both kinds.
