What are the chances of a typhoon hitting the Ireland match this weekend .. now wouldn’t that be funny to be knocked out on a draw v Samoa.

I think the chances are receding but I would also have a chortle if it were to happen.

Japan Scotland is also under threat.

That’s how you’re meant to despatch an amateur part time team with your 2nd XV.

Italy become the first team to be eliminated by the weather. All a bit farcical.

Ireland: Jordan Larmour, Keith Earls, Robbie Henshaw, Bundee Aki, Jacob Stockdale Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray; Cian Healy, Rory Best (capt), Tadhg Furlong, Iain Henderson, James Ryan, Tadhg Beirne, Josh van der Flier, CJ Stander

Replacements: Niall Scannell, Dave Kilcoyne, Andrew Porter, Jean Kleyn, Peter O'Mahony, Luke McGrath, Joey Carbery, Andrew Conway.

As we don't know what will happen with that Japan-Scotland game that team needs to go all out for a big 5 point victory. Hopefully the coaching team will have explained to certain individuals that disappearing acts on the field are not permitted from now on. Need to get the job done and try to create some positivity for the 1/4 final.

It is. I pretty much agree with Parrisse. Japan officials knew this could happen so should have had measures in place to move games under threat. I also agree with him that if it was NZ facing the chop something would have been done. Ballix like this just makes rugby look badly managed, which in this case it is.

Do the Japs not have stadiums with roofs or is their cutting edge technology only employed in developing talking toilet seats?

Surely there must be a better way. The more I see of world rugby the more I believe it is a closed shop for the big boys... and the Scots aren't big enough to demand a chance of putting one over on the hosts. Surely there would be an argument for shipping the matches to another part of the country or even to a nearby country. And for the England/France game, if any English or French fan was only going to Japan for one match, that was probably it. A couple of grand down the drain.

It's quickly becoming our (Wales) World Cup to lose...

That's how I like it

You all make some good points in one way or another; still it's fun seeing the weegees and co losing their sphincters over this.

Didn't they and the leeks vote against a rugby world cup in Ireland in 2023?

Yes they did!
