English Premiership 2019/20

Post by waggonsroll »

Anyone with access to BT Sport and nothing better to do could be watching Quins v Bristol in the Anglo/Anglo Cup. Brett Herron, late of this parish, starting for Quins and has kicked the first points. Currently 3-0 to Quins.

A report in the Daily Hate says that PRL clubs have dismissed any out of court settlement being made with Saracens if they are found guilty of breaking salary cap rules. This appears to follow fresh allegations of Nigel Wray using co-investment partnerships to break salary cap rules. Up to 35 points could be deducted if found guilty.

There is going to be a massive fall out from this.
Bring it on.
And don’t say it is to the detriment of rugby overall.
Does anyone like Mr Wray’s team.

"Saracens previously claimed they "readily comply" with salary cap rules and were able to spend above the £7m cap because of the high proportion - almost 60% - of home-grown players in their squad."

Interesting that 60% is a 'high proportion' of home grown players!

Sarries didn't show up the for the launch of the H Cup today which happened before in 2010 and they were fined.

This time they should be kicked out of the tournament. Exeter must feel rightly peed off finishing up in second three years in a row.

Sarries are an artificial club who do nothing for the game.

Just for a wee while.

They're Exeter fans now.

The 35 pts deduction is a bit of a cop out. Hopefully Sorries' appeal will result in relegation and the loss of their last two titles.

-35 pts last season would have placed them 10th btw

If the appeal goes the way of most, the fine and points deduction will be reduced. Straight relegation would have been better although, if the season has started this would hardly be feasible.

I am surprised that the retirement of the greatest scumbag in rugby last week has merited so little comment in the media or sites like this one.

Farewell Dylan Hartley, you will not be missed, you scumbag of epic proportions! >seeya

Two more years for Charlie P at Bristol.

He's got a Semi to play with next season too.
