Noticed that, Mike Brown the pantomime villain is out injured and will miss the rest of the season.

I didn’t think Burns looked 100% as he walked across to be interviewed.

Faddes instead of Gilroy for me next week.

I remain to be convinced that Stu and Luke are our best midfield pairing albeit Stu seems to have developed an effective, if somewhat clumsy looking, kicking game out of nowhere!

I assume Joe the ex Irish coach has told McCloskey that if seeks further Irish caps in the future he needs to bring more to the table at inside centre than an assured gain line break and recycle approach and reasonable defending. McCloskey is no twinkle toes therefore the variety must be provided by his boot.

Farrell's ability with the boot at inside centre has provided English wingers with opportunities chasing the ball down the tram lines and his grupper kick is an extremely effective defence splitting tool when the ground and ball are wet and handling becomes a lottery and the odds are against getting the ball to the wing without a knock on or" man-n-ball" pass because the conditions favour the defensive team.

Which is basically a good reason for McCloskey to develop his kicking game because Ulster at the moment don't have a fully dominate pack and sufficient ball carriers to play a multi phase short game in the wet.
Within this carapace of skepticism there lives an optimist

What you’re saying, Rum, is we need a more footballing playmaker at 12. Like a paddy Wallace type. There’s a decent young Irish and Ulster Qualified lad playing in France just the sort - at Brive I think.

Looks like quins have gone fully loaded with team selection, with it being a home game & a likely number of teams looking over their shoulder at sarries cutting the points deficit.

Sinckler will slip seamlessly into Brown’s pantomime villain role.

The suit might be a wee bit tight.

Certainly worth trying to wind him up a bit. Careful now with the oul perceived racism mind!

Turns out he dropped out of today’s game with an injury.

A narrow win for Quins.
