Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

It was the flight of the Earls 1602 which lead to James Ito introduce the plantation of Ulster by Scots which is the source of many myths maintained by many to this day.

Brief correction Rum (first time I have ever sought to correct you and hope I don't incur your wrath!) - Flight of the Earls was in September 1607 - useful link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_of_the_Earls

Here's a place that's well worth a visit if you're in Rome, the tomb of the O'Neills.

Bus to the top of the Gianiculum, fantastic view over the city, walk down to san Pietro, then to Trastevere for coffee.

Enough of this European piffle
Let us rejoice this weekend in the 80th anniversary of the miracle of Dunkirk, and the role of the Royal Ulster Rifles.
Whilst most of the rest of Europe were sitting on their thumbs

Very correct Sir but it was the exile of O'Donnell in 1602 to Spain encouraged the flight

It may be of interest to some here that DAY 5000 which, Lest We Forget, falls on 28th September 2020 is also "Ulster Day" and it will be Year 108. Useful link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulster_Covenant
