Must be a shortage of actors in France cos the same bloke plays the copper.

However, Code 37:Sex Crimes is much more entertaining than both. Set in Ghent. Stand alone episodes although there is a storyline which runs throughout the three series.
oooh, I'll check them out :thumleft: . We love the euro/nordic/scanda thrillers...

In that case you'll love Bordertown on Netflix. Finnish police drama set in a town which borders Russia.

Crossing Lines is a decent watch.

A special police unit under the International Criminal Court investigate crimes that cross international borders.

The squad is a mix of officers from various countries, including a former PSNI one.

I watched on Ch4 (or maybe 5) but I believe it's on Netflix too.(3 series in total)

Following Justinr's recommendation I am currently into series 3 of Code 37 Sex Crimes. Brilliant show. Another worth a look at is Stockholm Requiem. This show delves deeper into the psycological affect solving grizly crimes has on the investigators.

Bordertown was excellent. The Method, Russian one on Netflix is also very good. Hear Deadwind, another Finnish one on Netflix is apparently very good.

If you like spy stuff, the Bureau, French one on Prime is very good.

Glad to be of service Maestro.

Stockholm Requiem is very good. The Russian looking cop who fell on hard times is great in the show I mentioned earlier in the thread - Before We Die. He plays the head of a crime family. It’s the best thing I’ve watched in years, although it’s too gritty to have the humour that you get in Sex Crimes!

Caught the first two episodes of The Last Wave on BBC4 at the weekend.

Set in a French surfing town.

It seems to be about Mother Nature getting her own back on us about climate change, but don’t let that put you off.

Watched 1st 2 episodes, jury is out, a bit weird/left field. Prefer cop shows preferably Scandinavian ones.

It is only 6 episodes, will watch it on Saturday and see what direction it goes in.

Yeah same here mate.

What I quite like about the French shows, though, is that you’re never quite sure who’s going to shag who next and that adds an extra layer of complexity.

Just cancelled Netflix and signed up to Nowtv, mainly as the missus couldn't find much on Netflix she fancied watching. Now have a good load of series to watch, Game of Thrones (never watched it), The Affair, Succession, Ray Donovan, Chernobyl so will keep us busy for a good while.

Stick to GOT and don’t waste your time on the others.
