Pro12 Final Leinster v ULSTER MoTM?

Post by fermain »

Always the underdogs, but I think the score was flattering to the winners.
Ulster played well and looked dangerous with the ball in hand.
But Leinster looked convincing in their unbeaten season, and deserved winners. >appl

But tonight, who was yer man of the match?

Not that many really stood out, went for Coetzee as he took it to them.

Coetzee always looks head and shoulders above the rest. From the rest, for me it's between McCloskey and Stockdale.

Easily McCloskey for me. Pity our forwards besides Cortzee didn't make as many metres.

Gave it to the Bangor Bulldozer but an honourable mention to young Lowry who really put himself about.
Hope is not a strategy.

Would whoever voted for Billy Burney declare themselves and let us know which channel they watched the match on?

Yes> Stu is 100% reliable and will blatter away willingly all day. But, on the other hand, opponents know exactly what to expect and it is not that hard to deal with. Ulster really lack a smart, speedy, playmaking midfielder and have no imagination when it comes to inventive play or even ringing the changes. This is not necessarily Stu's fault, as he showed a few seasons ago there is more to his game than bosh, if given the chance. The coaches have rendered him a tad one dimensional.
Looking forward to seeing Addison back and getting rid of Billy Burns.
Hume is a good-looking prospect with a nice mix of physicality, pace and intelligence.

I did text a mate saying it’s a shame that we are just using Stu for smash ball. He has much more to offer but is clearly just playing out whatever the team orders are. Similar to Coetzee. If we employ him better and get him into the wider channels running at backs rather than forwards then magic can happen (Lyttle try last week).

I’m still happy that this is still all being worked out though and well hopefully keep improving.

And Burns is mostly useless for sure. It pains me to see him awarded the captaincy.

We need to focus on why we are the nearly men,we just are not good enough sorry to say.Every season we say this is it,and then we get let down.We are never going to be winners of finals we must stop harping on about 1999.
