One each for the centres!

Great stuff.

And the ref seems a good lad too so far.

Fez said after about ten minutes that it could be a long night for Benetton. If we're not careful it could be a long night's celebrating for Benetton. We've gone to sleep. Too many soft tackles.

Very even match so far, could easily go either way. Is Stockdale back on from the kick off?

This is the best game of rugby I've seen in ages. Some soft defence from both sides, but it's not too surprising there are gaps with the pace it's being played. Moore has looked electric with ball in hand, but think Treviso wouldn't be making the same headway with McCloskey in defence. Given it's their first run out I'm really impressed with Treviso.

If this was a normal season opener then fair enough but Ulster are missing and slipping off tackles and defending passively. You always feel when the opposition gets in the ulster 22 it is try time.

Missing Luke Marshall's organisation and solidity?

Think the timing of the line in defence is an issue, with a light out half in Lowry the two centres can't really be level with him coming up because they are liable to the pass behind them.

Electric start followed by some extremely passive play as Benetton remembered how to play against us. Line speed disappeared 20 mins in and we're back on our heels so often it's crazy.

Big fan of Stockdale generally but his approach to defensive work is driving me nuts recently and everything around that yellow is infuriating. Would like to see a great deal more commitment and cop on around that side of the game.

Commentary is class

Good stuff! Enjoyable game, fairly impressed with all the young ones - Moore and Hume looked good throughout, McCann did well when he came on, glad McBurney got a good try after the Connacht foul-ups. Lots to build on there.

Perhaps that's really the best way to look at it. Lots of issues to deal with but the young lads were grand so, indeed, lots to build on.
