Connacht v ULSTER MoTM?
A very pleasant surprise, a dodgy frst half, and a dogged performance with the wind on our side in the second.
It's been a long time since we won away at the Sportsground, but who was yer man of the match?

Back row was outstanding. Greg Jones was my choice, but I can't really argue with Jordi Murphy. Half backs also managed the game very well.

Jordi stepped up to lead the back row like he never has before.
Andy Warwick deserves a mention in despatches.

Team effort but in the first half MADS boot kept us in it.
He backed that up in the second half. He also put some great hits in on the tackle and showed that he enjoyed wearing that Ulster shirt.
As an aside if both Alby and MADS had been closing out the last 10mins last week we would have had a different result.
However great to be winning away again in a InterPro!!!

Voted for Jordi. Backrow went well in the 2nd half but when we were up against it in the first half Jordi was everywhere and key to keeping Ulster in the game.
Needed an experienced backrower to lead from the front today in the absence of the new Bulls player and Jordi did that superbly today.

Madigan was great. And formed an excellent duo with Matthewson. Super performance!

Went for mads for his leadership and boot. Back row was very good, Jones was like a man possesed and tackled with an intensity not seen before.

Never thought I wold vote for Ian Madigan.
He kicked brilliantly and every kick seemed to mean so much to him.
I hope he stays at Ulster for quiet a few years!

Re: Connacht v ULSTER MoTM?
There are a few contenders worthy of the accolade! The back row were excellent - not least Jordi - Mads was superb and without his kicking and game management we would not have been in the match at all, the engine room were outstanding in the tight and the loose - so it’s a really close call, but for me I give the nod to the Dublin Strangler (A O’C) not just for his excellent work rate but for his leadership by example. In times gone by he was a hot headed penalty machine, but he has really matured into a fine leader of men (and boys!) .
In saying that a great team effort all round making light of a dodgy team selection!!

Hope is not a strategy.

I wonder if the person who voted for Kyle McCall was one of the 2 people who voted for Matty Rea after the Glaws match.

Why would Kyle's mummy and daddy vote for Matty Rea after the Glaws match?

Really great game, Alby, Mads, Lowry, Jordi and Timony were all superb! Also thought Warwick deserves a lot of praise as that looked to be a hard shift in the scrum. The fact that Greg Jones is a professional rugby player hoeever simply blows my mind, I must be missing something but surely that amount of missed tackles is inexcusable even for an amatuer level club player? I don't think 1 dominant hit makes up for 6 missed tackles. What's happened to Marcus Rea surely he's the future?
Re: Connacht v ULSTER MoTM?
Six missed tackles you say? Where are you getting your stats from?
Or perhaps you can remember them?
I’ll give you the one which led to the Jordi turnover for starters.
