Bristol.

Being replaced by an Englishman.
Does he actually fancy a change, or being squeezed out and Dan building his own team piece by piece around him?
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

A guess but I would say a bit of both. He needs S and C experience as being the top man.

Well he took over for a few weeks at start of season until they got the new man in, wonder did he feel it strange he was good enough for the main part of the work of preseason etc and then not get top job after JD left

I see that he is to be the Skills Coach

Who is he replacing - or which position are others now responsible for?

Soper got the assistant coach position. Grant forwards coach and Jared defense coach. I think Peel is moving on.

Newby comes from the same club as Soper in Dunedin so may have been a connection there. Will be interesting to see how it goes, pretty cheap you would imagine and only on a one year deal so if not working can make a change this time next year.

I like that it's someone a bit left field who's not necessarily a big name, so hopefully signed on their skills not reputation. Hopefully fits in well with us.

Craig Newby was a star for us as a player, many wanted him to remain as a coach.
