Nowt much wrong with this pitch. Pant has taken the game away from england with a super innings. Stokes and Anerson bowled well. Spin trio couldn't quite deliver.

All over on Saturday??

I’m going to say no but I wouldn’t put much money on it.

Unbelievable effort by Darren Stevens today.

He’s 45 and seems to get better with every game.

Cracking quote from recently retired Boyd Rankin on the wireless today. He was talking about his career highlights and when asked about his England cap:

I always wanted to play at the highest level, and at that time playing for England was the next best thing

His only wicket (Peter Siddle) proved invaluable, restricting the margin of defeat to a touch under 300.

Watched the third game up at Stormont this week.

I know I’m knocking on a bit now but one of my first thoughts was that some of those young ladies looked like they should be at school.

Imagine my relief when I discovered I was right!

New Zealand had the better of the 1st test. Really good pace attack even without the spearhead Trent Boult.
Nothing in the spin dept though

As for Ollue Robinson - good debut on the pitch.

As for the other stuff - yes it was years ago and he was young but suspension right IMHO. Need to set an example.

They were kind of backed into a corner after the contrived T-shirt wearing on the first morning.

Similar incident to the Argentinian rugby one of course.

The skipper got a one match enforced rest for tweeting something far worse iirc.

Shame they lost a day to rain, although it probably saved England.

Seems a bit harsh. Probably a few here, myself included, who wouldn't like to be judged on things they may have said or done as a teenager.

Haven't seen too much ofvwhat he said.

In general i dont support tge prosecution of thought crime.

I accept that certain people in positions of respect should temper their broadcast opinions.

Not convinced Robinson was in that position back then though.

Agree with Mervyn. Wouldnt want to be held responsible today for opinions i may have voiced when a teen, or even later.

In my youth, i was very clever and was right about everything;
If i were not to have changed any my opinions with experience, i think i would actually be very stupid.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

He's lucky he didn't send WhatsApp messages that he didn't send.

Meanwhile Jay Donnelly continues to play for Glentoran and Akinade resumed his career with Waterford Utd after his conviction. Double standards.

Who's the 2nd culprit? I see Dom Bess has deleted his entire social media history.

Jimmy's "offence" : tweeting a decade ago that Broad's haircut made him look like a 15 year old lesbian.

Morgan and Buttler: mimicing their overly deferential treatment by Indians while playing in the IPL.

I'm as "woke" ad the next man, but come on
