Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
I've completely lost track of who's where next season. Are we in with the big boys or in the Challenge Cup?
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
We are 2nd tier side in Heineken. Have outlined possible opponents. Qualification was based on the 16 game Pro 12 which ended in March.solidarity wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 6:55 pm I've completely lost track of who's where next season. Are we in with the big boys or in the Challenge Cup?

Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
Actually not that bothered as it means we might get another crack at the Bic Biro which again is the closest we’ll get to silverware in the coming years ahead.

Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
Is there anything below the challenge cup?
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Ah. Wrote in my diary, simply says ‘bugger!’
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
Of course there is! There's the Continental Shield. Sure isn't that one of the reasons that things were taken from the ERC and given to EPCR - to promote and encourage rugby throughout Europe with the inclusion of a tier 3 competition.
Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
Interesting you mention the Continental Shield. The Rugby Europe Super Cup was launched this morning which will basically replace it. 8 club sides from Russia, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Georgia and Israel.

Thanks for the info Neill, strange there is no Romanian team involved, or to a lesser extent German.Neill_M wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 12:14 pmInteresting you mention the Continental Shield. Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
In 2007, Herr Wild established the charitable Wild Rugby Academy foundation for promoting rugby in Germany, with the aim of raising German rugby to a world-class level. In addition to promoting youth rugby, Hans-Peter Wild also focused on supporting the national rugby team. In sporting terms, through the support of the Wild Rugby Academy, he managed to bring the men’s national team almost as far as qualification for the Rugby World Cup. However, he terminated his collaboration with the German Rugby Federation in 2017 as he found their organisational structures insufficiently professional to achieve success on an international scale.UlsterNo9 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 1:18 pmThanks for the info Neill, strange there is no Romanian team involved, or to a lesser extent German.Neill_M wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 12:14 pmInteresting you mention the Continental Shield. I'm surprised EPCR aren't suing FIRA.
