My information was wrong, my friend talked to his parents at the Scarlets game and they said he has a contract until summer 2023.

Ah that's excellent, thought I had missed another run of contract announcements. He seemed to suffer from having to effectively carry the Ulster scrum for a couple of seasons but is absolutely the kind of prop Ulster need in the squad.

Confirmation of Jared Payne heading off to Clermont.

The only way is up for clermonts defence which is pretty shocking. He will improve them no ends.

Genuine question- Has our defence been that good?

Any stats?

Could deserve a thread all by itself. If we look at the league this year we have conceded the 2nd least points, have we been good in attack? We are 8th when it comes to points scored in the league.

In my mind we look better in attack than defence

https://www.unitedrugby.com/statistics

According to the league stats we are number 1 overall in defence scored on Tackles Made, Turnovers Won, Turnovers Lost, Tackle Success, Total Tackles Missed

To answer your question KOTH - I don't know
