Robert Hoffman. Think of long school summer holidays and the brilliant b & w version of Robinson Crusoe.

Olivia Newton-John. Hands up all those who fell in love with her, ... well, lusted after her, in the late 70s.

You wanted to get "Physical"?solidarity wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 10:04 pm Olivia Newton-John. Hands up all those who fell in love with her, ... well, lusted after her, in the late 70s.
Country Roads have taken her home!
Or was it a Neutron Bomb?
I have a couple of her albums in the car and would still listen to them from time to time. Must admit, while I enjoyed the film Grease, and have seen a couple of stage shows of same, the music from grease wouldn't be my favourite by her.

She was a Country Singer in a Stage Show in Grease singing storyline songs .
Better at Denver and Dylan singing a Sixties /Seventies songbook.

I wouldn't class her as a "country singer". She sang country songs when she was younger but her voice was more suited to the easy listening/soft rock genres imo.

Will have to get used to the change in words when they sing his song.

You've been waiting a while to say that.

Whatever we think of the monarchy as an institution, she was a very impressive woman. Her understanding of her role as a servant of the people is something that many others could learn from.

Absolutely - I have/had the utmost respect for her as a person. I doubt we'll ever see her like again.solidarity wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 7:20 pm Whatever we think of the monarchy as an institution, she was a very impressive woman.
