Looked like Munster shipped some more injuries and that game would have taken a lot out of them.
Team selection for both Munster and Ulster next week could be interesting given issues and no internationals.
Farrell will likely have his 23 for both games the following weekend pencilled in already. I think he will probably allow munster and ulster to select strong teams to get some gametime but the internationals will not be training with the provinces. Could be strong problem for ulster who might have had 3-4 days training in last 3 weeks.

A lot will depend on the health of the squad. A nasty gastro issue will leave many of the squad feeling depleted well into next weekend potentially.

From my experience with a kebab some years ago, the lads will be grand as long as they aren’t sat down in contact at any stage.

White shorts could be an issue.

Surely this calls for a case load of tighten up syrup?

Leinster very profligate in the first half in the Munster 22. Left behind at least four tries. James Lowe would have had a field day had he been fit to play. Leinster were creating big gaps down Munster’s right flank. Dan Goggin is a poor defender at 13. Next to no lateral movement which leaves him vulnerable to an attacker cutting a late line or stepping him.

Andrew Porter changed the course of the game when he replaced Healy.

A heavily depleted Leinster are even money for tomorrow night at Scarlets on -8.

Can you win anything with kids?

Against a Scarlets side who are clearly playing rubbish (15th position), missing 22 players including 7 players in Wales camp. Leinster do have three debutants on their bench.

They’re certainly due a performance!

Patchell on the bench yet again.

He’s been very unlucky.

After all his injuries, he should probably change his name to Patchedup.

Apparently two of the Welsh teams have had to seek emergency loans to get them through the month.

Munster Rugby and the IRFU can confirm the short-term signing of lock Kiran McDonald as injury cover on a three-month deal.

From Scotland, the 27-year-old was playing with Wasps earlier this season after making the move from Glasgow Warriors where he had been playing since 2017. The second row will link up with the province this weekend.

On the injury front, there was disappointment for Jean Kleyn and Tom Ahern following scan results for respective rib and shoulder injuries sustained against Leinster last weekend.

Kleyn will be unavailable for the next number of weeks while Ahern is due to meet with a specialist next week.

The duo join Fineen Wycherley (shoulder), RG Snyman (knee) and the uncapped Paddy Kelly (head) on the unavailable list, while Tadhg Beirne is with the Ireland squad for the Bank of Ireland Nations Series.

Looks like he played the first 52 minutes when we beat Glasgow 40-15 in Nov 2020.

Tomorrow too early for him??

Saffers have picked Jenkins amid doubts about Snyman for the World Cup.

Peel must be on thin ice. Scarlets look abject and utterly devoid of ideas.

I have to say I raised an eyebrow at this, and was almost tempted to put a bit on Scarlets! Scarlets were terrible, but I have to say I was impressed by Leinster, I actually thought it was a very coherent performance which was impressive given the squad. A great performance by Tom Clarkson, which was good to see - and also I was very impressed by McKee who has developed into a really solid little nugget of a player.
..one more thing
