and here was me thinking that when you're World ranked #1, you were expected to win these matches.

but no, that's a big scalp apparently.

It was a big performance, admitted, but not surprising.

Definitely a very fine result.
Dreadful for big Stu - he was heading for MOTM.
Bobby Baloucoune, hmmm, probably didn't do his reputation any good.
Treadwell and Herring ok but nothing out of the ordinary

I’ve never been a fan of Gibson-Park but I thought he was excellent - read the game well and played at the right tempo. O’Brien was impressive on debut. On the other hand Hansen, notwithstanding his walk in try, was very poor and does not deserve his place. Rob B did not look out of place and was strong defensively.
Gutted for big Stu as he was really taking his opportunity well. Tredders and Red did what they had to do in the time available.
The team selection for next week will be interesting as none of the A team really got the chance to shine and put themselves in the frame.
Hope is not a strategy.

Apparently McCloskey's injury isn't as bad as initially feared.

Bealham over Marty😂😂
Murray was disgracefully slow getting the ball from the ruck and put his team mates in the sh!t.
Sheehan oozes class. Allegedly wants to play for Ulster.
The commentators were loving big Stu. Rightly so.
The SA physio has a few miles on her clock now but she’s still a wee fox.
Worst performance of the day - Farrell. Trying to persist with Murray. Choosing Bealham. Taking Sheehan off.

Gibson Park was the difference.
His tempo and the way he drew the SA defenders for Hansen's try.. class.

That was beyond ridiculous.

JOB did well but then he’s looked pretty good for Leinster.

Doesn't see the bigger picture of taking players off to rest them a little for future matches and mitigates against injuries in the last quarter of the game as they get tired if there is no overwhelming need for them to remain on the pitch. All the while giving others game time to keep them sharp and motivated for future matches.

It's what Irish Rugby has been doing for years, at international and provincial levels - but maybe Jamie hasn't noticed the IRFU have a player management programme in place all these years.

Didn't get the chance to shine as they were blown away as a team by the Kiwis, or didn't take their chance to shine?

Could argue a bit of both.

Hard for any individual to shine when the team is taking a battering, but there were still opportunities to hold one's hand up and say, "Sir, sir, look at me sir, pretty please". Not least defensively.

So that makes 2 games in a row that Hume has been crocked by New Zealanders. Seemed to come in for some serious treatment and the yellow card hit took a lot out of him. It's a pity as he should have been in line for a start next week.
