And a good out half requires a sound kick and be able to vary the type at will with out telegraphing his play.

Unfortunately when playing at Pro level his game looks robotic and easy to read even Burns looks less robotic.

Carbery didnt play 10 in school, he played 15 for Blackrock. He became a star playing 10 at AIL level for Clontarf.

I stand corrected

But sometimes schools do make the right choice of position and Clubs exploit the enthusiasm of youth correctly realising as the player becomes recognised enthusiasm becomes insufficient and that the experience of the opposition will blunt its advantage and inexperience becomes exposed.

America, interesting - their season starts in a few weeks so if he is going there it would be 2024 season?

Lyttle going to MLR would surprise me, he’s a class player and would be a big loss to ulster, and IMO is better than a fair few other back 3 players around the provinces (not to mention england)

Very much agreed. He is one of our best finishers and should not be jettisoned. Big mistake.
