I think McCann has made more of an impact recently albeit off the bench. Would be great to see him have a big game starting, especially against a physical side like The Bulls
I'd have started Cooney as he should start next week. Ulster can't afford to have uts best goalkicker on the bench

Cooney can come on for the final 25minutes and bring some tempo?
Sheridan and rea on bench allows for our 6/8 to go full metal for 55 minutes. Switch timoney then to 8 with 2 fresh flankers on the pitch without losing power/ poaching ability. I like it.

Maybe not the match for it but interested to see if Postlewait is a good fit at 12. Hume is a great prospect at 13, his day is yet to come
Agree on Hume. I still think he'll be a super player and not another Rob Dewey

Less than 12 months ago, without Ulster tinted glasses on there was a genuine belief there was very little between Hume and Ringrose.
That gap has certainly widened and I couldn't say for sure it's because Ringrose is any better despite the southern media love. Hume has fallen off the form that gained him a couple of Six Nation appearances.
Is it injury? Is it Ulster attack system?
I'd say both with a little added personal responsibility required.

Agreed but raise the ratio of personal resposibility- self belief is one thing_ but you got to back it up. Being part of the Master race doesn't mean s#hit compared to the South Dublin Private school GOYS. Basically he's been put in his box- up to him to front up or shut up.
I think we are being a little harsh on Hume who has not played a lot of rugby since a very serious injury .. needs a bit of time to regain the form that made him one of the best centres in the country because he has the talent
He was schooled by Ringrose last two meetings including physicality. Let's hope he learns from it. And that's why I'd start Marshall at Landsdowne. We need 2 warriors in the centre.
Does Poselthwaite on the bench suggest Luke is not in the reckoning for next week or does he just offer more bench versatility? I have only heard of JP as a centre.
