You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

Greg Jones contract tells us everything we need to know about who we are and what we want to be …..

Leinster cast offs are that for a reason they ain’t good enough to make the Leinster 23

I've had a grim Monday morning in work but the Greg Jones and O'Brien contracts have given me a good chuckle. Thanks UR!

Jesus fcuking Christ, Mary the lying two timer, Joseph the thicko and the wee bastid of a donkey.

What. A. Joke.

How many Leinster backrows don't even make the squad. Surely to feck there is better out there. Please, King, tell us a big saffer 2nd row is on route. I'm a bit fcuking depressed here.

Get Bryn out. Dan can go to fcuk. Petrie, get in the bin.

Number of backrowers outside the Leinster 23 I’d take (Deegan, Connors, Ruddock …..) but no they are all happy to stay in D4 while we sign up Jones for another year.

We should be trying to push through some of our younger back rows (McLaughlin, Crothers, McNabney) rather than giving Jones an extension - he’ll be 28 next year & shown he isn’t at the level needed.

Can’t wait to see what comes tomorrow - Matty Rea on a 4 year deal likely!

Angus Curtis a shoe-in for a 2 year deal along with a long-term one for Will Addison.

We seem to specialise in single-faceted backrowers.

Outside of the starters on Saturday, there’s one who can tackle, one who can jackal, one who can claim a lineout and one with a great rugby brain.

Can we not just melt them down or something?

Jones re-signing is the perfect example of the culture of mediocrity that permeates Ulster Rugby.

He will never be good enough, why waste another minute on him?

A few ball bags have been re-signed. Will that do?
