Sam Carter might well work out for the Tigers. It always struck me that he had the skills to be a good player, but was dialling it in. Think he was comfortably our best option at lock for the lineout and there were times this season (perhaps as he realised he hadn't a contract for next year) that he started to play with a bit more edge, but on the whole he was a fairly disappointing signing for us. If the coaches there can get a bit of fire in his belly though...

Guaranteed to give away a penalty for flopping off his feet just after time and getting the shepherds crook before 55minhtea every match he starts.

Sam has always sruggled in a top flight league such as the URC. Perhaps stepping down to a second tier league such as the Premiership would suit him. Who knows he may not meed to play a full season given the rate at which clubs fold

Altho mostly a centre or wing, my natural devastating speed and tackling ability was applied as wing forward.. Absolute wrecker of opposition 10s. Represented NI BB v Edinburgh at Murrayfield playing in back row. Can play piano and guitar and good for squad morale and kids parties.

I too played on that NI District BB team at Murrayfield. On the wing. Had a perfectly good try disallowed 😄 Good times, good friends, good memories.

Didn't Dewey end up playing for Hincb or someone like that? I still maintain he was far far worse than the admittedly not very good Carter. Dewey was a star one season for Scotland also.
