Nah - he was prevented from threepeating it with his head or shoulder .... by the red card. :duck:

But he really needs to modernise his game.
Good chance that it may be downgraded on appeal. Didn't affect the game as he was gone anyway and you get the feeling that he was being additionally penalised for serial offending on the night.
Can a yellow be appealed or downgraded?
Not that I am aware, the offence needs to be considered a sending off level offence (open to correction of course).
The 2nd yellow was upgraded to a red by the bunker.

agreed.

I had wondered what the first two letters of **itehouse's name were.
What was your problem with him in this case?
The try that the french were awarded was a classic case of minor errors in communication being compounded by a flustered TMO. The bulk of the blame lay with the AR who believed he saw a grounding, yet Whitehouse failed to take the time to overrule. The player reached out with the ball in one hand which was lost forward short of the line. The call to penalise crowley was also a case of falling for the French TV director and crowd pressure.

I don't think there was compelling evidence to overturn the TJs decision.

Agreed. Doubtful if the TJ saw enough to justify his decision in the first place mind.

Only the TJ knows that. TV angle looked like it could have been grounded on the line.

I see the disciplinary committee decided both Willemse cards were worthy of red.
Is the first time a player has effectively received two reds in the same match?

Unsure, but he only got a ban worthy of one offence as you can see from the judgement.

WHich 6 nations side would suffer most if only home-born players were allowed?

Yes. Scotland would be p$sh and Engerland would be pushing Ireland a bit harder.

Last week was the warmup. This is the main 23.

Ulster contributing strongly.

No need for a worldwide search now, so we've saved a bus fare to Lisburn

They can't rely on Leinster for centres.

Henshaw produced by Connacht. Aki, NZ. McCloskey, (North Down Destroyer).
