Ospreys away during the 6 nations break is when we should be loading that team; DFs selections boil my p*sh. Just looks like he's floundering to happen upon a decent combination.
Seems Cooney and Baloucoune travelled to Wales as cover, so not injured then.
 :duh: :banghead:
I don’t think Bobby can have any complaints about being left out.
Touch and go on that one Justin. Lowry has never worked on the wing. I do agree re RB but we had other wing options, like McElroy for example, not Lowry. Cooney is bizaare
Think Cooney has a minor bicep strain caused by lifting a foot long hotdog at the basketball the other week.

With the URC celebrating the people and communities behind the professional players competing in the league through its Origin Round this week, Ulster Rugby recognises the important role of clubs and schools in player development, with 11 of this weekend’s starting 15 having come through the Ulster pathway.

(15-9) Will Addison (Upper Eden RFC), Mike Lowry (Dromore RFC), James Hume (Instonians RFC), Jude Postlethwaite (Lisburn RFC), Jacob Stockdale (Ballynahinch RFC), Jake Flannery (Kilfeacle RFC), Nathan Doak (Lisburn RFC);

(1-8) Andrew Warwick (Ballymena RFC), John Andrew (Ballymena RFC), Marty Moore (Barnhall RFC), Harry Sheridan (Civil Service RFC), Iain Henderson (C) (Belfast Academy RFC), David McCann (Cooke RFC), Marcus Rea (Ballymena RFC), Nick Timoney (Blackrock RFC).

Replacements: Tom Stewart (Belfast Academy RFC), Steven Kitshoff (Maties RFC), Scott Wilson (Dromore RFC), Cormac Izuchukwu (Tullamore RFC), Matty Rea (Ballymena RFC), Dave Shanahan (Clontarf RFC), Luke Marshall (Ballymena RFC), Ethan McIlroy (Ballynahinch RFC).
I guess Belfast Academy RFC is Belfast Royal Academy RFC. Incompetent copywriting from Ulster Rugby. If performance is in the detail, both on and off pitch, this says it all.
Wrong guess then moyletra. >EW

I guess you're performance is a little below par then?

Sorry, couldn't resist. :duck:
I admit my mistake, my incompetence. :duh:

I thought it referred to the grammar school.
I believe he started his mini rugby at Ballyclare RFC? But could be corrected on that too.

Pretty sure I'm right about Ulster Rugby incompetence though.
Ahh, sure we all have an off day.

Academy RFC was the name used by BRA Oldboys way back in the mists of time I believe (I could be wrong - today could be my off day).

No one was contradicting you about UR incompetence - merely your proof of identifying it.

But hey, a good win today and we could up to a heady 3rd in the table - or floundering down around 10th with a defeat.

What's not to like about a good rollercoaster?
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

Doak playing at 9, flannery at 10, probably points to the positions they will be playing next season.

These will likely be our starting halfbacks. Lets hope Fknnerybmakes his tackles, he has been good value for a linebreak conceded per game this season.

Can get to 4th, Glasgow destroyed the Dragons last night so it is now Leinster 39, Glasgow 36, Bulls 35. Ulster on 28 can overtake Benetton on 32. Ulster +9 v Benetton +2 on PD.

Looks like I’m required to go to IKEA before the match.

It’d be helpful if the shops opened before sodding 1pm.

11 out of 15 or 16 out of 23 ulster born and bred. Will that be enough to bring sufficient fight today? If it doesn't then we are in serious difficulty.

You are correct Captn. Clubhouse still at Roughfort. Used to have pitches but sold them in the 90s I think for housing development. I played their 1s at BRA s school pitches at Roughfort, where I think they had an understanding. Also played them on the municipal pitches there. CI did same with part of their land but reinvested. I assume Academy were in financial diffs?

Nice mild day here in Swansea. Good conditions but ball will be greasy. Small crowd so far. I hear Ospreys are leaving stadium and moving to either Neath or Bridgend.

Gilroy with some not so subtle digs at DMcF, although Soper is a tactical genius apparently.

Think Addison must have been injured when they changed the rules.

Good chance of it I suppose.

If Marty Moore isn’t holding his own in the scrum he’s an empty jersey.

Why was John Andrew free kicked at the lineout? it was the ref who got the wrong mark and slowed the whole thing up.
