A cracking match that could've either way. RBAIs experience in winning at ravenhill was a factor. BA were excellent but their pack ran out of steam and LO was ropey.
The BA 8 was superb, and while Adam Boyd got MOTM, the Inst 7 wasn't far behond

Not sure how he got MOTM - yeah he scored a try but I didn’t see a lot else. Had to go to an Inst player obviously given they won and makes a story given his brother the year before - but the 7 or even the replacement hooker, who had a couple of key moments, would have deserved it more. Cunningham & Gibson very quiet too.kingofthehill wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 8:18 pmSo is the RBAI 8 who was man of the match (Jacob Boyds brother). Re: Schools Cup 2022 and 2023 and 2024
Thought RBAI deserved the win. They tried to play more rugby and Ballymena played one up stuff. For the sake of the game entertaining teams with ambition should be encouraged and applauded. Many cup finals have been won by muscle, discipline and solid set piece. Ballymenas lineout ultimately cost them. Referee was excellent and allows the game to breathe. Hopefully the players juries are not too bad and that the players leaving u6 go on to play rugby. Probably at Queens or abroad though but that is for another thread…….
