That’s my point, but season isn’t dead so for me the answer is no.
Doak has no vision at 10 and yes he’s out of position, but when we are still in contention it’s not the right time for me to find out what his potential is in a positional switch.

Would the coach want a 'safe pair of hands' to stand between his son and a start?
Think Richie Jnr needs a year anyway so 1yr deal for proven 10?

It's difficult to compare Doak with Burns. Burns simply wouldn't be trying many of the things Doak (or most 10s) do. Burns doesn't kick that much, he's mostly a shovel merchant. Perhaps today it's what was needed. Unfortunately for Doak, most of what he tries isn't coming off. Some things did. He shouldn't be afforded any patience or time to develop though. Billy, on the other is still young.

I think Doak has to learn how to play at 10, and keep his cool. A yappy 9 is not needed at 10.

One more match this week will likely see the season ended anyway, but if Burns is fit, I would start with him this week, and once we're out, continue with Doak. Certainly against Cardiff, we should play Doak at 10 irrespective of Burns' fitness.

CIMANFOREVER wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2024 2:13 pm We are appalling even versus 12 men. Leaderless, tactics free. Embarrassing if I'm honest. Murphy needs to get this shower behind closed doors and man shame them as so called professionals. Multiple internationals, 2 time lion and 2 time RWC winner look less than average. Anti synergy...
TBF, three weeks travelling and looking shattered in South Africa, Richie hasn't had much chance to do much, but even with a 6 day turnaround this week, this is the time for him to start earning his corn.

SK's pocket money could be used for Murphy's son at 10

Does the ban on SA sides hosting semifinals apply to the challenge Cup as well as the champions Cup?
Not that I'm expecting ulster to win next week but would a semi against the sharks have to be held in Europe?

Think it would be held in Europe.

I see they are hammering Zebre out the gate presently.

"A home semi". Where have I heard that before? It'll be Dublin won't it?
