Don’t think this year. McAllister still only u19 so could be the more likely this time next year.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Americans must have been over touting themselves. Still will have some benefits in bringing a wide squad together & opportunities for some younger guys.
Given the score I’m assuming the senior/academy guys will have gone well but any of the other players involved stand out for folk?
Re: Any word on the Academy?
Thomas Armstrong back at Harlequins. I wonder if he’ll get any opportunities in development squads?
Re: Any word on the Academy?
Did he not turn down an Academy place so not interested? Brother also quit Ulster underage teams when in Irish squads - so pro rugby maybe not a priority for them. He’s also probably now about 24 - I know we need 10s but that ship not sailed?

Interesting development and perhaps a sign for the future.

Good on them. Let's hope they challenge for the Schools Cup in the next couple of years.Jetstream wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 7:36 pm https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_ ... 3036126877

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Interesting that Daniel Green (Sale Sharks/IQ rugby) named in U19 squads for the summer.
Out half/Full back who played for Ireland U18 Clubs last November but who then seemed to play in the last U18 6 Nations around Easter for England U18.
Obviously dual qualified - anyone in the know aware if an academy place potentially on offer this year like for Henry Walker previously? Seems a talented Out Half in a position of obvious need.

Hopefully between them, they will win a match this summer.
Re: Any word on the Academy?
Nobody bother with the game on Saturday?
Think our two new Academy centres got a few tries between them for the U20s.

I was dragged there by my son. McNabney, Graham and McFarlane showed up well, Irvine in parts. Not much else to report.

Hope the weather was as good as it was in Limerick.
I was particularly dehydrated this morning.

From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!
Re: Any word on the Academy?
Not many ulster players in ireland u20 squad against munster A: Tom Brigg, Josh Stevens, James McKillop for sure.
Any word on injuries to Henry Walker, Joe Hopes, Bryn Ward and Lukas Kenny?

See Bradley McNamara won ulster club player. Totally outplayed Telford in the cup final.
