Re: Help us
Looking like Bulls away in qf. Worst draw possible. No chance of a win and no money.

Re: Help us
Sharks win challenge cup so are qualified for champions cup next year. So only the top 7 in URC qualify. 8th place misses out (unless they win the grand final in which case 7th misses out). We need some points from munster, or stormers to beat lions, or neither of the benetton embra match to take 5 points.

Re: Help us
2 match points in Limerick is enough, will know if we even need the 2. Benetton Edinburgh and Stormers Lions play before us.

Re: Help us
Surely if the stormers beat the lions then we are safe for 7th? Only one of benneton amd Edinburgh can pass us.
Re: Help us
But by the book, you need 6th for guaranteed Champions Cup rugby. I know the chances of 8th seed winning in Limerick, then Glasgow and then Pretoria are slim.jean valjean wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 10:31 pm Surely if the stormers beat the lions then we are safe for 7th? Re: Help us
Stormers could still theoretically be caught by Embra and Ulster, finish 7th and miss out on Champions Cup qualification. Handy that they still need something against Lions.Neill_M wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 10:37 pmBut by the book, you need 6th for guaranteed Champions Cup rugby. I think Ospreys' and Connacht's faint Euro ambitions now rely on coming 8th and winning the URC the hard way.

Re: Help us
Anyone know how teams are split if they finish level on points? If it goes to points difference we are not in a great place compared to the Lions and Edi

Re: Help us
It can't come down to PD with either. Lions can't match our 11 wins and if Embra win and we lose then they are ahead on games won.DodgyEverything wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 11:04 am Anyone know how teams are split if they finish level on points? Lions can only overhaul Ulster if they get 5 points at Stormers and Ulster get nothing in Thomond. Hopefully that will be beyond them but you can never tell in these end of season games
