Tmo got that wrong. Ball was on the ground but short. It was held up over the line following the 2nd shove. Communication failure as carly was confirming it ended up over the line but didn't see the grounding. Case of 2+2=5.

Some game regardless. Leaving provincialism and FIRFU bias aside, either is worthy

Superb game at a level ulster can only dream about. Doris's brain dead penalty was the killer for me. Maybe he was starting to believe his antics at the breakdown were invisible.

These Leinster players have lost so many big games over the last five years or so.

It’s got to take its toll.

Must be far better for your mental health to get your Brennan kicked in the group stages.

Still, leaving two of your best forwards on the bench and picking inferior ones to start instead is a tactic I can’t get on board with.

Are Leinster bigger bottlers than Ulster?
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

I expected to lose but we came close at times.
Telly never showed why the Lowe try was disallowed. Carley is no Leinster fan.
Just have to win the URC and go again next year.

Is Nienaber the wrong fit for Leinster? They seemed 5% or 10% down on their usual performance. The attacks in the backline were blunt and the forwards did not support breaking players in sufficient numbers or at sufficient speed. Some really dumb penalties given away although Carley let Toulouse away with all sorts of offences. Perhaps Leinster's generally effective shutdown of Dupont was at a price? Disappointing outcome from a fiercely contested game which left me with the impression that Leinster could have and maybe should have won. If Frawley's first DG had gone over things would have been so different. Fine margins.

Ref seemed to be playing advantage but then inexplicably blew the whistle to stop play before the ball got to Lowe. Weird, especially considering how long some other advantages were played for. A very subjective area of interpretation of the laws.

After that marathon straight into 4 consecutive URC games with no certainty of a home semi if Leinster are to avoid another barren season.

Wonder if treating the domestic league with contempt will come back to bite them again?

Winning URC will be tough. I think it is Munster's to lose.
