Well done lads. :D Unfortunately that means none of our 8 representatives will be available at the week-end. and with an extended squad of 24 we could still have no-one in the starting 15 for the first match.

If EOS releases 2 ulster players to pare the squad down to 22 next week I will be cross but not surprised
Paul.

Agreed Kearney is quite a player but is not as good as Tommy Bowe of Andrew trimble however he is much classier footballer than yer amn Horgan.

yes Setanta I don't think that's too far away from my own selection - but at least EO'S is heading somewhere towards where the rest of us thought we should be going 12 months ago.

Also nice! Just wanted to get the discussion going. Its a bit like the start of Ulster's season when I argued that trying out the squad was more important than winning the per-season friendlies and took some stick! I still say experiments must be made in friendlies - he cannot do it during the six nations - and there is a world cup coming up.

That sure is one time to do it. I think Mark McCall saw what the first team players could do and had to see how the more aspirational players could cope. Preseasons are the time to make your mistakes.

Ireland: G Murphy, T Bowe, G D'Arcy, S Horgan, A Horgan, R O'Gara, P Stringer, M Horan, S Byrne, J Hayes, D O'Callaghan, M O'Kelly, S Easterby (capt), J O'Connor, D Leamy.

Replacements: R Best, S Best, M McCullough, N Best, K Campbell, D Humphreys, G Dempsey.

No place for Trimble...yet we can find a shirt for Anthony Horgan.
