I would venture to suggest that should the youths concerned be identified to monsterfans then a whole new level of punishment will be exacted.

Thomond Park vandalism suspects released

Gardai have released two teenagers who were being held in relation to the vandalism which was carried out at Thomond Park last month.

The venue has been closed since September 14th when vandals dug almost 500 holes on the main pitch at the historic stadium.

The teenagers, one of whom was under 18, were arrested at their homes in the Moyross area of Limerick City yesterday morning and were being questioned at Mayorstone Garda Station.

The pair have been released and a file will now be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
