Worked a gig at which JF played in early 90s (??) It was crap.
Never saw any of the later come-back shows, but was left with the feeling that there's something to be said for bowing out at the top
[Edited to remove any doubt of me having musical talent]

Saw them at Customs House Sq.in 2019
They were all right but were a bit rusty. Pat McManus was the support and he was on fire, which didn't help. Reminded me of Jerry Lee Lewis' "follow that n/$÷#×" when he was forced to open for Chuck Berry.

I worded that quite badly. I believe I was stage manager. The only thing I played was with my maglite (ooo errrr)

A 4D - no choice. Our jeans were so skinny back then you would hardly have got a 2AA in there.

Gordon Lightfoot has left us.
I put on the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald the week before last, after a day trip to Rathlin, and wondered how he was doing….

One of the few who came to Belfast at the height of the troubles. He put on a great show at the Ulster Hall.

A under rated canute came across his music in the early 70s
