Michael Gambon shuffled off today. Never knew he was Irish.

The singing detective was a fascinating idea.

For such an acclaimed actor, it was a shame that much of the media went along the lines of "that bloke who was in the Harry Potter fillums"

Need to find the Top Gear clip of him as Star in a Reasonably Priced Car. They named a corner after him, so it must have been a good one.

Surprised that Sir Robert Charlton didn't get a mention here.
One of my earlier childhood memories is receiving a bright red pedal car and a Bobby Charlton doll on Xmas morning 1966. I would have been 3 years and 15 days old.

Last of the combovers. Never the best choice for a prolific header of the ball.

I found out last night that Ryan Hamilton, one of the Ulster team doctors and long time captain of the Cooke 3rd XV sadly passed away on Thursday.

Absolutely horrific news, posting this here in case there are any who knew him that haven't heard.

Seems that Elon Musk's latest rocked 'died' soon after launch. The event was described by the commentator as a 'Rapid unscheduled disassembly'. I think 'explosion' is a more widely understood term.

Could Kissinger, the supreme shuttle diplomat, have resolved the Northern Ireland problem in the 1970s if he had been appointed the peace maker?
Probably like he did in Cambodia, carpet bombing the place and winning the Nobel Peace Prize for it.
