He's not good enough.
We would be far better developing McPhillips and Lowry. Give them an opportunity to step up and show what they can do for the next run of games.
In the event that we need a new first choice flyhalf, let the two of them fight it out. Their development will not be helped by a mercenary coming in for a season and hogging the starting shirt.

Wise up ffs. He’s good enough alright and way better than anything we have right now. I don’t want him near the place for all the above reasons, but to suggest he’s not good enough is way beyond ar$efoonery.

Play Cips at home and Nelson away. McPhillips can have ten minutes against the baabaas.

Cipriani is a great 10 and would be an asset in rugby terms. When I buy my season ticket, I do it with rugby and entertainment (I know!) in mind. There is too much religious moralising that goes on in Ulster, that to my mind is part of the issue, and anyway, there is no way he would come here anyway - he has far too much sense.

Cipriani would be a waste of a contract

How exactly would it help Ulster bringing in a flaky 10 who has managed to have a very average career despite being prodigiously talented?
I don't rate him at all.

Snipe, you said “ He’s not good enough” now you’re saying he’s flakey and had an average career.

He’s better than what we have at present and that makes him good enough. I didn’t say it would help Ulster. Try reading before jerking yer knee. Just because he’s good enough doesn’t mean I think he should be wearing an Ulster shirt anytime in the future. Stop getting yer skiddies in a bunch and calm ta feck down aul han.
I really liked Flakes. A big glass of warm milk, with some cinnamon and black pepper and a big Flake gently melting into it.... takes ye right back.

Only the crumbliest,
Flakiest chocolate
Leaves suspicious marks on the duvet...

Sign Cips and plenty of ladies would need to be papering over their cracks.

OK, let me put it another way. In my opinion, and it's the only opinion I have, the total package Cipriani would bring to Ulster would not be enough to make his signing worthwhile or prudent.
In the event that Paddy is no longer available, we need to develop our two youngsters rather than bringing in a mercenary for a season would not be any use in the long run. If he were absolutely world class and the kind of player, like Christian Lealiifano, who could mentor the two young lads, he could possibly be a smart acquisition. However he doesn't, in my view, fit either criterion, so he's not good enough.
He should have been world class, but wasn't, isn't and won't be.

I like my CDM from down south, out of AppleGreen.

Nope, he's not just a Lionel - I know - he's also a poncybastard.
