As for Doak, well, he did seem to learn that it was there at the back of the ruck to be dug out. Apart from that, not his fault.
More disappointed by that result that Connacht or Ospreys - we knew that we had to compete and win up front and in a 65 minute 8 v 8 match we didn't do it.
Lowry had a bad kick but was probably ulsters best player. The line break a few phases after it shouldn’t of happened and the luck with the ball coming back of an ulster player for kendallon to score wasn’t deserved.
Unfortunately ulster are just carrying too many players in key positions. Take Moore,Hendy,Stu and Stockdale and you miss the spine of quality team. Never mind Jordi, Balacoune and Addison.
O'connor called posts straight away without asking doak, so that was on him. Doak knew he hadn't the distance one a boggy field and couldn't have hit it any better.
I know I’m literally flogging a dead donkey but that is a perfect example of how Paddy would have taken control of that game and I believe would have been a very different result. BOI Guinness Swivel eyed lunatics

Lowry was Ulster’s motm imho but even he couldn’t rescue that mess.

Well, fully agree with the second comment. As for the first, and all the others bagging Burns, didn't see either Crowley or Healy imposing themselves on the game either. In fact, both of them were entirely anonymous and did nothing but ship it on, make poor choices or knock it on - in fact Casey seem to be trying to do a Cooney bar the kicking. Yet Munster won.
Billy Burns is a 2nd rate English passenger. Today reaffirmed that. He had to take that by the scruff when Cooney went off. He didn't, let all the pressure pile onto young Doak. All he did was hoof it away to their back 3 when a competent outhalf would would have stretched the opposition to take advantage of the man advantage.
At least players like Niall O'Connor were one of our own even if they were sh1te. We actually head hunted Burns, and even though he's proved time and again not to be up to it at this level, we still trot him out. Glad we've tied him down to a contract extension, incase he got head hunted by Rotherham or London Scottish.
No need to pick out individuals, that was lost as a collective, we were flat for 80 minutes.
We played the last 10 minutes trying not to lose a game rather than taking it by the scruff of the neck and trying to win it.
Appreciate with a two point gap we didn't want to concede a penalty in our own half hence the endless box kicks but we had 2-3 opportunities to gain a foot hold in Munster half and continued to hoof it.

Munster were collectively woeful. But they won. Ulster were woeful and didn’t win. Ulster had a man advantage for the majority of the game. Ulster really should have won this game at a canter but just didn’t seem to have any kind of game plan that was in any way obvious to my eyes.

Crowley and Healey are kids who are just learning their craft but are exciting talents. Burns has been playing at this level for years. Can’t polish a t^rd.

I can only imagine how dispiriting it must be to throw your body into tackle after tackle, eventually turn the ball over and watch it get aimlessly booted away so that the opposition get to run at you again….
