merci chef - je vous remercie ( I thank you)

I always believed that Mr Reid felt threatened by the old URSC and did what all control freaks do. Killed the problem. He simply hijacked it and that was that. I know that some of the URSC old boys feel my description isnt apt but thats how it seems to me. I feel for the guys as they set out to deliver and got shafted - IMHO.

There is nowhere else to go but up - Fat COntroler has us on our Brennan. McCall has the team on our Brennan.

You appear to have inside info on this one Rooster. Can you explain why then the post "A statement from the URSC" was pulled off the dark side. There is something sinister going on I fear. It appears strange that M Reid's statement is posted but the one from the URSC is not. I also would have thought that there would be controls in place to make sure some eejit posing as M Reid would not have been able to create an account, using his name, in the first place.

LePaul wrote:sorry deadball and baldeagle09 - I would disagree with some of your thinking.

They are not generally brow beaten funders of a regime which doesn’t give a shoit about them individually or collectively as shown by Mr Reid and his goons. Nor are they puppets who speak when their programmer allows them to and they do not spend their entire existence, pitiful or otherwise, saying yes Mr Reid no Mr feckin Reid and isn’t Mark doing a wonderful job doing what he is doing. - I for one don't disagree. But with respect that is not what was being said. They (the URSC) don't do anything (except mouth of about the Maze). They are yes men whose purse strings are held by the Ulster Branch. So how can they do anything but yes MR to death?

Get real guys. - Ditto

That’s what supporters clubs do. They let the Fat Controllers know what the ground folk really think. - If only!

Sorry if this offends - it wasn’t meant to - just expressing my annoyance at the failures and so on. - Why would it offend? We are all challenged and refreshed by your unique point of view! :) :)

No inside info at all mum, and I would doubt if the URSC one was genuine either, it's not hard to pull a post after it is put up, all you have to do is edit post and delete.
Do you really think Mike was thinking about posting on the message board at 1:30pm yesterday
As for controls to stop some posting as Mike Reid, they can't even stop gambling and porn sites registering as users  The words orgainise, pi$$up and brewery spring to mind

Deadball - seriously - I'm too far away and far too small to know what is what over there - but I understood that URSC was actually contributing to UR. Can you confirm this

I am not so sure lads. The content of both statements is not that different from that by URSC Committee members masqurading as different types of monikers.
One who has no been identified as the former secretary of the URSC had said very recently that they (the URSC) were seeking independance.

I also don't think just because MR made a statement first means it was his idea or doing. He may have been handed the decision and then made the announcement quickly himself first. Granted the timing seemed odd.

Not sure. But given how little the committee has spent of our £10 a head I would imagine monies left over will stream back to UR. Also if they have 1000members x£10 = £10,000, why therefore is their budget for 2005/06 season only £3,000. Lastly I know they did get some meaningfull sponsorship recently but now with the split in the committee I am not sure whether that will be halted.
