They could have put Trimble on the bench, but then he would have sneaked onto the pitch unnoticed at around 70 minutes and that would have been no way to win your 50th cap. Much better he starts next week and gets to lead the team out.

That said he should be starting ahead of McFadden (who I like as a player) every day and night of the week.

Well done to Olding (and Henshaw), hopefully tomorrow will be the first of many caps.

My guess is that there might be Cheerleaders but is that enough to keep us all awake until 1.30am on Sunday morning?

That is a very practical team selection for what will hot weather rugby.

Tactically I expect Madigan to kick everything towards the corner with Zebo and Mcfadden lying back to field and kick the line out will then be more important than the scrum which explains the presence of Toner instead of Touhy.

Given that game plan and expectation I wouldn't be picking Trimble nor would I be picking Jackson both players are more suited to a running and passing game of rugby .

Thought I saw another post about when and where to find it. Think it is being shown live and then a full rerun at a more civilised time. TG4 possibly? I'm away to check.

I mean, my God! Who does Kiss think he is? The head coach or something? What's he playing at? Does he not know all matches should be played and players selected on the basis of "we're playing a RWC final tomorrow"?

Here, email them and put them right ruck.

If nothing else it will give them a laugh.
Congratulations LK, you've missed my point completely.

My point is, if the World Cup final was tomorrow, the team that Schmidt et al would select would probably not be much different to the one that has been selected for this match. Kiss has selected the best side he has available to him, rather than develop young players as you are saying he is supposedly doing. Henshaw is only there because there is no Kearney. Olding is there because there is no Marshall or D'Arcy. Madigan is there because there is no Sexton. Apart from that, I see no development.

I'll admit my wording was extremely poor, I meant the argument that we are developing players is rubbish. In my opinion of course we should be developing, it's what this tour is for. However, where are the selections of Boss, McFadden, Ross and Toner going to get us? Apart from Ross, I don't think any of them will play at the 2015 RWC, so why play them now? With the current TH situation in Ireland, surely now would be the ideal opportunity to give a few THs some international experience (albeit against weak opposition). By all means, play the big guys in the 6 Nations when there is silverware up for grabs, but not now in a tour that serves no purpose but development.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Nodded off a couple of times there. Time to sort these out but in the balance at 6-12.
