The new style seems to be bearing fruit.
Good start to the season.

BTW watched a lot of it on Rugbaidh Beo on BBC Alba last night as well as Rugbaí Beo on TG4
There was only the odd bit of Gaelic as the only the commentator spoke the lingo and so all his chats with his partner and
everyone else was in English or something very like it.
As you say, some of the moves contained more passes than Ulster managed all bloody night. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Alba's coverage, the commentary was Gaelic but the lack of the "gallic" in the expert meant they switched easily from commentary to English analysis. Worked for me.

I hope to see a decent season for Munster, good start though not having seen it all I have no idea what sort of cahllenge Solly's lot provided.

It's a long season.
IIRC 2 years ago Munster started well, Ulster poorly and yet Ulster ended up with a better season than Munster.
Last season it was the other way around.
Leinster traditionally start badly.
You can't trust the form just yet.

Hate to see the back of the lovely summer we've had but as always the return of rugby is great

After a good opening win Penney has named a much changed side for this week's visit to Zebre.

Solid looking front 5 with a very exciting back row and half backs. Backs about as good as we can muster at this stage. Good to see Conway getting an early chance.

Munster:
15 Denis Hurley
14 Johne Murphy
13 Casey Laulala
12 Ivan Dineen
11 Andrew Conway
10 JJ Hanrahan
9 Cathal Sheridan

1 Dave Kilcoyne
2 Damien Varley Capt.
3 John Ryan
4 Donnacha Ryan
5 Ian Nagle
6 CJ Stander
7 Tommy O’Donnell
8 Paddy Butler

Replacements:
16 Mike Sherry
17 James Cronin
18 Stephen Archer
19 Dave Foley
20 Niall Ronan
21 Duncan Williams
22 Ian Keatley
23 James Downey

Not taking Zebre seriously?

Wonder what odds I would get on a sneaky Italian win

Zebre 12/5
Munter 1/3

Yon is worth a fiver on the Zebras

That Munster side will get the BP, don't worry. With that front row backed up by Donnacha Ryan the scrum should have a field day.

I didn't see the game. It didn't seem to be on TV. However it is another win for Munster.

Two opening bonus point wins- you can't ask for much more than that. Gwan Munster. >TLGH

Tommy O'Donnell out for up to 12 weeks with a knee injury picked up in Munster's win over Zebre.

Felix Jones is back in contract training though after having shoulder surgery in July.

Munster getting the rounds of the kitchen, Treviso 29-19 & Munster down to 14 men with 15 to go. Score was 9-19 at one stage.

Well you never like a defeat but I'd prefer a loss to an Italian team than a Welsh one or a Scottish one.

Game not on TV so only going by the updates: Sounds like Munster were indisciplined and caused as much damage for themselves as Treviso caused them.

Anyway ya can't win every game. Hopefully that's the bad one out of their system. Well done to Treviso.

Lots of highlights on the Rabo youtube page. Lots and lots of high and barely legal tackling from Munster, susceptible to teams cutting back against them, or pace against the tight 5

Yes I have seen a bit of it now and some of those illegal tackles were just stupid. Some of the players need a bit of a kicking. I wouldn't be worrying about it at this stage though. If it continues I would.
