Thornbury played in the same Irish U20s side as Chris Taylor, yeah the one Doak and Clarke let go as they didn't think him good enough....apparently

Hardly any surprise considering:

- our academy pretty much picks from 3 schools in Belfast.
- clubs are given no attention by the professional UR coaches (some might say this is a good thing  ).
- schools are allowed prevent fellas playing club rugby because sir so-and-so says so.

Given that about 90% of our potential player pool is excluded, is it any wonder we produce about 1/10th the players as Leinster?

All players let go by Ulster should be hypnotised to respond to some special code phrase like in those old spy movies. So that when they actually turn out to be good, as several seem to have done, we can get Q boy to say the phrase in his announcements and bring them back in...

So the Connacht line up... Finlay "come to papa" Bealham etc.

Leinstertainmentfans are very anti foreign players all of a sudden. Since they have a big home grown squad they are acting all superior. All they say is something about Marty Moore being at wasps. Tbh I wish most of them would die.

The concern and biggest doubt for me scrummie is had Bealham remained at Ulster would he still now be a prop of international standing.

The answer, a firm No.
