No.
I think that's one of the better rule changes since our day Rumn.

Agreed.

I do think there does need to be a clear time limit on penalty advantage, maybe a max number of phases.

Consistency at least.

Of course it was full contact - those tackle bags and drinks can be slippery and easily dropped unless you make full contact with them.

Looks like you've caught the Rumvid virus Snipe.

At least you only passed on a proportion of the symptoms, but be careful you don't become a super-spreader.

Even the Ignore vax or whatever Fleg was on about wouldn't have prevented you contaminating the rest as the Rumvid virus circumvented that thanks to you.

Why -- should a team who have been given a penalty kick -- a possible three points -- which they turn down , then receive the advantage of a throw in -- which 9-times out of ten will not be refereed in terms of straightness .

The throw-in -er -- will 9 times out of 10 take a step to ensure he is in line with his own players rather than in the middle.

The point I am making is - the line 9- times out of 10 can not be contested -- and the ball is then presented to a hooker who can not be tackled with out coming in from the side resulting in a yellow card to the defending team -- and or a penalty try.

Thus the penalty is compounded into a penalty -- a throw in -- penalty and yellow card and throw in again to achieve a try .

No snipe it is not one of the better rule changes -- it creates a very predictable game pattern -- stick the ball up your jersey - risk less rugby -- of ball retention -- waiting for the penalty -- kick for the corner -- and the above sequence of play --- when 50 % of a seasons trys are scored from corner penalty line outs -- the game has been ruined -- with teams only committing to rucks when play enters the 22-- the defence is always going to have an advantage over the attacking team out side the 22 provided they avoid penalties.

And one referees failure to release may differ from the next referee -- and inside the 22 when the rucks become contested both sides a normally are guilty of some infringement and the decision is a lottery with a 30/70 and maybe 20 /80 advantage to the attacking team
especially if they have home advantage .

The game has been made to predictable

Because they didn't infringe the laws but were sinned against they should have options as to how they use their penalty advantage. By increasing the jeopardy level attached to indiscipline it discourages petty blatant 'non-cardable' cheating and as such improves the flow of the game encouraging positive rugby from both sides.
Personally I enjoy watching 5M mauls and the technical aspects of it.
Finally Ulster has had a lot of success from it :fleg:
Other than that it's a load of guff!

Great stuff

If Scotland could execute in their opponent's 22 it could have been a massacre.

Old fatty George didn't have to wait too long before having to eat his words and what game was Johnny May at? Pure shoite.
