What are you thoughts, as I said on the Munster board, I can't see skippy leading England to the 6 Nations, he just seems to have a policy of making sure England don't win the World Cup and not much else.
France
Ireland
England/Wales can't decide who will be on top here.
Scotland
Italy

Only Ulster player likely to be picked is Baloucoune with Herring Henderson and maybe Hume on the bench against the Welsh the rest maybe returned to get game time .

Josh van der Flier picked up a minor injury last week. He'll probably be ready, but if it might give Timoney the chance for some game time.

Bars to shut after half time in Wales.

I presume they only want people to run on the pitch during the first half?

Also reducing the ABV of the beer down to 4.1% from 5% (replacing Heineken with Amstel), sure the bars shut in 2nd half in Lansdowne Road anyway also.

Reducing the abv of a beer has a surprisingly big effect on the taste.

I used to enjoy Hobgoblin ruby ale at 5.2%. The 4.5% version just doesn't cut it.

My old DA said (when the opening hours 10am - 10 pm and were to be changed to 11am to 11 pm ) if can't get drunk between 10 am - 10 pm -- you weren't trying

Thus if can't drunk before full time at a rugby match your not trying

Anyway I liked the hassle of trying to get away quickly to get into a bar before everyone else -- to get a seat and a table and somewhere to stock either pints and bottles without fighting to get to the counter through a load of Finglas foo fighters flogging weed.

Purple prose indeed.

I enjoyed his more subtle "wet ball" ref in the f*cking BBC thread.

Ludlam starts for England as a reward for his brave, but futile, attempts to stop the swarming Ulstermen.

Does anyone really expect any Ulster players to be on the Irish team. I predict it will be the same old same old. One exception being a recent Australian arrival who plays for Connaught. At the rate Farrell is going there will soon be more non Irishmen on the team than those who can truly call themselves Irish. I will just wait and see but I don't think I will be far wrong. I don't expect any of our new young Ulster stars to get a look in.

Just proved right. The new foreigner plays and Balacoune is sent home.

It's a ballix. When there's Irishmen as good as JGP, Aki, Lowe, Hansen (and Herring for that matter), the aforementioned shouldn't be anywhere near the team. They shouldn't be anywhere near it anyway.
