Can't think of a more worthy cause for any excess funds than "Mitre"

Except maybe the charity us fat boys are running for in the Belfast Marathon! (Parkinson's Disease Support Group).

Seriously, I'm more than happy for any excess to go to any worthwhile cause - My tuppence worth!

this could be, no WILL be, very messy

based on length of time to the kick off, I seriously doubt wether very many people will actually be in much condition to watch the game. (Me included - based on previous trips  ).

So I'm going to TRY and behave myself and not get (too) hammered before hand.

I take it you are allowed to bring a bottle of coke or lucozade incase blood sugar levels drop and of course you must be allowed a bottle of water, so those could be tampered with, or will the be a search policy

jamesie- afraid that possession of alcohol on the way to matches in coaches etc is an offence as it is to be drunk on them. It is also an offence to enter a ground when drunk or in possession of alcohol or to be drunk during the period of a match unless mistaken but you would be better qualified that me to be the judge of that.
