Yeah, I started off buying a couple of cans but then the Stadio Flaminio beer seller claimed he didn't have change for my 50 yo-yo note.

"Can you not just drink more?' he asked.

"Fair enough", I thought and bought 6 instead. And a cornetto.

 You drinking in 5 star hotels :?
No, I drink in four star hotels, and they are cheaper, around £3.60 I think. The £4 one was at the Potthouse!! A disgrace. Reason Number 1 why chick likes men...they buy her drinks!!

Aye, as in the Angel Islington, residence of choice for the discerning young London based UAFC boarder. And Jamesie.

Mike, that's a shocker, I'm sure the difference from a few pints could get you a return train fare to the Raynes Park Wetherspoons.... Although on reflection maybe you're better off where you are...

Rooster, I reckon the difference isn't worth hanging out with braying tory-boys of an evening. Although having said that, I've heard that the UUP have nights for ex-pats that involve a brief lecture and a pi$h-up. I might be able to bend my politics for that.

Somehow or other I've found my way onto their mailing list, but I've never actually been to one of their events. Apparantly the house of commons has numerous cheap bars. Might be worth dandering along to one if they'd let a deshevelled student like me in the door.

Here's some for you, local to Ravers too:

Eastender - £2.30
Rosetta Bar - £2.35
Errigle Inn - £2.70

Holiday Inn in Belfast charges £3.10 a pint - wonder if it's black velvet?

Average cost of pint in NI pre-budget was £2.40.

I knew there was a reason we loved the Rosie (apart from the big screens and yummy food) 8)
