Re: Piles anyone?
There were about 4-5 rows behind the crowd on terrace at the last Match not in use and therefore I would assume that the piling is for the Stand/ Hospitality/bar etc and not for terrace
I was actually quite surprised at he number of piles already in place at the last match and on that bases would consider the piling could be complete before the next match
It should be remembered that it is expected to be finished for the start of next season
Mole is Ravenhill not Cregagh and not at home during daylight hours and provided the muck is going out Mount Merrion he will have a big smile on his face

2B or not 2B that is the question ?
Re: Piles anyone?
As the currently used portion of the remaining Terrace has a capacity of 1500 and the completed Terrace will have a capacity of 4200, I can only suspect that they will not be directly under the Stand/Hospitality/Bar - they just seem too close to enable an additional 2700 (nearly twice as much again) people in front of them. However I have not been over to the darkside. There were about 4-5 rows behind the crowd on terrace at the last Match not in use and therefore I would assume that the piling is for the Stand/ Hospitality/bar etc and not for terrace

Re: Piles anyone?
using simple maths 600 per terrace would give about 7 rows of terrace
allow for movement etc 1or 2 additional rows and recognising that the rows at the front are longer than those at the back

Easily seen that you do not have a degree in simple maths or conceptual visualisation either BB.using simple maths 600 per terrace (row) would give about 7 rows of terrace
Based on your figures you are allocating 6 and a half inches per person.
Care to rethink it all?

Re: Piles anyone?
OK
some fat men and some large woman need more than six inches (but only the ignorant need and demand more)
But standing the actual surface area required is substancially less than seated
Antony Quinn could dance on a hankie ( fact )
As a matter of interest how many are on the prom and Cables there is the broad walkway at the front of the terrace as well

Re: Piles anyone?
I thought stage 2 is a new stand at the carpark end with new changing rooms so that ravenhill has a stand when the old stand comes down

Good progress indeed. Good to see there are plenty of sewer pipes in place... they will be needed.
Re: Piles anyone?
I don't like the view from behind the crowd control barrier
Going to need a lot of high kicking so the punters can see where play is.
