think the regent yellow is more fom being on the wrong side of a ruck and just picking the ball up. looks more like panic than anything. very soft try

Video highlights pretty good for a Schools Cup Semi. View of the Regent yellow seems straight forward enough. Think Cpn. G may have his Minor College Belfast tinted glasses on again

Ticket prices at the gate were £8 & £6 although pupils from the competing schools could pre purchase tickets for £3 (at least at Inst they could)
Captain, I can't really recall the reason for the Regent yellow card although the Inst one was for use of the knee in a ruck.

Methody storm into schools' final
Holders Methodist College set up an all-Belfast Northern Bank Schools' Cup final against RBAI with a 36-3 win over Ballyclare High on Wednesday.
While Ballyclare started well with a penalty by Jordan Annett, they had no answer to the power of Methody.
The impressive Michael Allen scored to two first-half tries as Methody turned around 17-3 ahead.
Peter Robinson kicked 11 points with further tries by Peter Jackson, Troy Turkington-Thompson and Blane McIlroy.
Ballyclare had started confidently, edging ahead in the second minute when fly-half Annett banged over a 35-metre penalty.
Methody were by no means having it their own way against some stern tackling and defending by Ballyclare.
However, they levelled things up in the 13th minute with a Robinson penalty from close-range.
Two minutes later Methody punished a Ballyclare handling error as the Belfast school moved the ball wide on the left for centre Allen to sprint home from 22 metres with Robinson converting.
Two minutes from half-time, Allen grabbed his second try with a strong run from a Jackson pass with Robinson again adding the extras.
Jackson then wrapped up things as a contest with a solo try in the 36th minute which was quickly followed by Turkington-Thompson's effort.
With Robinson converting both, Methody were well on their way to their 59th final at 31-3 ahead.
Scrum-half Blane McIlroy was yellow-carded but he returned to score a breakaway try near the end and Methody now go into the final against RBAI as hot favourites to win the title outright for the 32nd time.

Can't wait there is nothing better than seeing the great Collegians hump Inst in the Schools Cup Final. My prediction is an easy 12-16 point win for MCB

it should be a good final. Methody look very strong. Should be very phsical as when these two played earlier in the season it ended up having a mass brawl at the end of the game. The disappointing thing at the Methody semi final was the inst players/supporters who were at the match started walking past the methody support and trying to Antagonize them. Bit childish

Things havnt changed much in 5years, remember being in a few of them usually against Carrick or Belfast High though after they were on the Brennan end of a beating on the scoreboard!Re: semi final

Cap'n G was asking a question of those who were there (whether spectacled or not) in the hope of finding out what had happened in one particular incident. (admittedly preferably from a witness who wasn't wearing yellow and black striped glasses).
