Isn’t that what Ewers is?

He’s a 6. That leaves McCann / timoney at 8 (neither particularly big), then Rea Reffell timoney covering 7. Ewers would be the only big option we have….the above is based on no injuries, hardly something UR is known for.

No update, but I see that he is back in full training and available for selection again - interesting to see if he gets any minutes for Leinster for the rest of the season. I know things can change quickly, but it’s hard to see how he’s any more than a bit-part player for Leinster - vdF is almost the first name on the team sheet, and I reckon that Leinster (correctly) see Penny as having a higher ceiling than Connors. And I would say that he’s at best 3rd in line at 6 as well..
..one more thing

They’ll rotate him in to the URC to keep VdF fresh, especially now Europe looks pretty much sown up so far. Correct though he is way down the pecking order with baird coming in at 6, now McCarthy about in the second row.
Interesting when contract gets renegotiated with the injury profile. When fit a quality player.

Yep pretty much, can play both. Ewers has started 208 professional games, 20no. at 8 and 188no. at 6. Exeter reckon the props get a lot out of him at scrum time.

Originally moved to blindside to accommodate Thomas "The Tank" Waldron in Exeter back row. Then little Sam Simmonds took the No.8 jersey for them.

I haven't seen a credible source yet. Only the rugby paper online and that picture of an article from some print.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Dave, ewer not funny!

Agree, cannot be credible until there is a cryptic clue on here from someone in the know.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. I would like to thank the fans and the leaf blowers for their unfaltering support.

I hope not. We have 4 at present. It would be harsh to go down to 2.
