Tbh I would have done the same. If someone is invited in to camp, to learn from his peers and excellent coaches, and decides he would rather watch norn iron play wendyball…
I would make sure that player never darkened their door again.

Like a late call up to fly half way round the world for injury cover not in the original squad whilst already in France for euros. It's only a rumour. Not likely true . I'm not in the know.

And given that this is the rumour thread, I’ll mention a bizarre rumour that reached my ear last week (confidence level: low - friend of a friend sort of source, who in fairness has come up trumps occasionally) but I heard that McFarland was going to Exeter!! I mention it just in case it comes true, so then I look like I was in the know
