Good comments from fez. There was an interesting bit in the article (ok its the irish indo, accuracy is not guaranteed).
"The rules around non-Irish qualified players are set to tighten next season for three of the four provinces, with Leinster, Ulster and Munster allowed have four in total including one 'Special Project' player. And Ferris believes the rules in place are holding them back."
Ulster currently have Van Der Merwe, Williams, Pienaar and Ludik as NIQs with Herbst as the project. All are under contract next season. Will the reduced quota (if true) then only kick in for the 2016/17 season? Or will one of them be released next summer?

There is rarely ant correlation between what the IRFU do and what is actually needed.Neill_M wrote:Good comments from fez. There was an interesting bit in the article (ok its the irish indo, accuracy is not guaranteed).
