The semi final draws for both competitions are on Sunday tea time/evening after the Clermont Toulouse game.

big mervyn wrote: Mon Apr 05, 2021 3:05 pm The bookies have Ulster 5/2 favourites to win this competition.

Other odds:

Montpellier 3/1
Leicester 5/1
Bath 11/2
L Irish 8/1
Northampton 10/1
Newcastle 12/1
Benetton 100/1

Ulster currently 4/9 to win in Northampton (6 points on the handicap)
Seems about right to me. It will however be a test of leadership and discipline to get the job done and keep 15 on the pitch at all times. Cards could decide the tournament.
Covid tests could decide the tournament.

This is a good stepping stone for ulster to get back to the top table. If we can't win this tournament then we have no right to be competing in the knockout stages of the main cup. Covid and cards are the unknowns in all of this but if we get hendo fit we have a good chance. Be great for the young guys to get the experience of winning knockout games as well.

Read on the twittersphere via @pauleddison a rugby journalist who covers the T14 etc that Toulouse have not won at Clermont for 19 years, one of those mad stats.

Because Bath have been so tepid lately its easy to forgot they’ve got some names. 3rd choice flyhalf but strong back line named for tonight’s game. Cipriani could prove to be a very astute signing.

9) Spencer
10) Bailey
11) McConnochie
12) Redpath
13) Jospeh
14) Cokanasiga
15) Watson

Even the Bath commentators are amazed at Murphy's calls.
