Should Ulster matches be on TV pre-watershed.

The referee put them in the position where by they could push on and win, he only started picking up on their indiscretions when the game was won.
Where Ulster poor because they were chasing the game, you can compete against another 15 , but you can never beat the ref, he was very poor.
The ref was not the reason for losing that match.

My kneejerk reaction is sack all the imports and spend their wages on development.

No, he wasn't the reason, but he played as big a part as the players.

Maybe overly simplistic but to be successful you need either great players or players who play as a team and become greater than the sum of their parts like 2016 Connacht.

We certainly don't have enough from column A even at tip-top strength. At the minute most of them look like they are not playing together. Pack making runs into isolation. Effort in the first half was good but back row was absolutely schooled. Second half was as bad as it gets. Probably ran out of steam again with all the tackles.

Wonder if charlieboy travelled with the team for a free flight and took a trip down the M4 to go house hunting.

How many of our forwards have improved this year and how many have regressed?

In the first category i would put Callum Black and Hendy, albeit his availability is patchy. Timoney has come on from the Academy.

In the second category....

The don’t know what they are doing. They play between the two 15m channels. It’s schoolboy stuff.

Samstew, the ref didn't play anywhere near the part in that result as the Ulster players did.

The disallowed try was a massive momentum moment, no question. However the first 35 minutes of the second half were absolute dross. Went to empty the dishwasher for the last 5 and studio comments. Trying out a new brand of dishwasher pods this week, couldn't wait to see how good a job they had done. They were half price in Sainsbury's lovely lemony smell in the kitchen. :thumleft: :thumleft:
