“there may be a potential for some cross-pollination”

There may well be but no facility anywhere would encourage me to go to see either a soccer game or a GAA game (any code). I am not a sports fan. I am a rugby supporter/fan.

Should others wish to watch more than one sport or change their support to another code then good luck to them. It is just not for me under any circumstances.

Similar views regarding cricket, ice hockey etc BTW.

There'll be none of that here ye-boy-ye  :cowboy:

This sudden outbreak of harmony on a Maze topic is a bit unnerving  . Now I’ll not get any work done today either.

... was the home... the Expos lost their franchise to Washington 2 years ago and don't exist anymore! The architecture is impressive but impractical and there has had to be ongoing major rebuilding works and it can't be used during the winter because of safety fears. It took Montreal over 30 years to pay for it and currently there are no pro sports teams using it as their base - seems to be mainly monster truck shows. I worked in Canada for a while and got its full gory history...
Shame - I heven't been in Montreal for five years but have watched them play at the Olympic stadium in the past. In fact I was intending to try to get to see them again this summer. Hadn't realised that fate had finally overtakern them
